ESET Damages my PC

I have had ESET installed on my PC thinking it was a trail version, the trail has expired and I was to take it off as I do not like it, it is not user friendly. Now that I want to uninstall it, it asks for a password and wont uninstall. I have had numerous mails between ESET technical support and myself, and still cannot take it off. My PC is vulnerable as I cannot load another programme to protect it. I think they are trying to force me to use their product and I don't want it.
