On the 15th January 2012 we purchased a Dell laptop from Incredible Connection in Somerset Mall. In October 2012 the laptop started giving problems by switching off & shutting down by itself while we worked on the machine. We contacted Incredible Connection & they referred us to Dell SA as they are only the agents and could not assist us with the problem. We contacted Dell on 05 Oct 2012 & spent approx 2.5hrs on the phone. We then received a reference no. & on the 6th spent another 4hrs on the phone while despatched through to India. We were told we had to pay R 1499 in order for them to assist with the problem. After much ado we were told that we had to delete everything off our machine & restore to factory settings. The machine still continued with the same problem. We have spent R1499 for nothing, lost all our info on the computer & the laptop is still doing the same thing, resulting in us having to buy another laptop. I am most dissapointed with Dell SA as I we have still not received a response from them after our last email sent on 03 Jan 2013. Absolute poor service & we have lost basically R5499 & R1499 on this laptop as it is unusable. Is there no such thing as ethics?
