Quickbooks
QuickBooks forces uses to upgrade, like it or not!

Computers & Services

Microsoft has launched windows 8 some time ago. Windows 8 is all that you get with a new pc. Windows 8 has been on pre-release for some 18 months to software developers, yet Quickbooks forces their customers to buy a new version of the Quickbooks package as it is 'incompatible' with Windows 8. The same thing happened when Windows 7 was launched a little while ago.
The issue is sending documents by email from within the Quickbooks package and the technical detail is that a printer driver specification has been changed (by Microsoft) - this information has been available for a considerable time for software companies, such as Quickbooks, to fix any issues - Many, many companies have updated thier products and offer no cost patches or updates - But not Quickbooks! - When calling the sales department, all that is offered is a 20% discount of the web price of R4699.00 (for my version I need) - Computer retailers already sell the product at approx 15% less, so this equates to a measly 5%, as a "shut up and go away, we dont give a, offer". What a rip off!!
