Quickbooks Pro2010 does not work on Windows 8

I have just been told that although I can run Quickbooks Pro 2010 on Windows 8 (which I have had to switch to) I cannot send an email or print an invoice from it which makes it completely redundant for my business. The response from Quickbooks has been 'Oh well just fork out another few thousand & buy our new one because we arent planning on fixing the problem'. Wow, unimpressed with that unhelpful attitude, small business owners can't afford to keep handing over money for something that will be redundant in 2 years!
