Bought a new HP printe

I bought a new HP printer yesterday. It doesn't connect with my HP laptop. I called the customer care line of HP and the operator said all their technicians were busy but will call back shortly. No one called and I had to have a report ready yesterday afternoon. Truly bad service!!
