I have written a complaint about Vodacom earlier, and this one is associated with it. SMSNET allege that i subscribed to them to download games (which I have not). Had a big argument with Vodacom regarding my itemised billing which i had not received as i was paying far more than my average month spend. Received it today and found that they billed me for SMSNET to an amount over R180. This was the case on my current bill this month too. In light of the fact that i did not receive my itemised billing for last month i was unaware of these SMSNET charges. Firstly, who authorised Vodacom to bill me for third party charge? On calling this SMSNET I was told that they charge R3.00 per day for any downloads, but I have been billed for up to 4 times per day! Many transgressions have happened here on both Vodacom and this SMSNET side. To date, Vodacom has not even yet had the decency to call me and try and assist. Is what this SMSNET is doing legal? Have both companies not flouted the Consumer Protection Act? I am very very upset (and thats putting it mildly)
