BAD SERVICE FROM PASTEL

I AM USING A PASTEL EXPRESS STARTUP 2007 PACKAGE EVERY DAY. TODAY WHEN I WANTED TO UPDATE MY WORK IT GIVE ME AN ERROR CODE (339 - FILE MISSING OR INVALID)
WHEN I CONTACTED THE CALL CENTRE THE CONSULTANT TOLD ME THAT HE CANNOT HELP BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE SUPPORT.

MY QUESTION IS: WHY DOES THE ERROR CODE APPEAR TODAY IF I USE THE PROGRAM EVERYDAY, AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY R1199 TO TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I THINK THIS IS DAYLIGHT!!!
