We have numerous merc's, and union motors excels to disappoint every time. My first C220 CDi sent in for a service and fault repair ended with a R45 000 repair, after I received the car back, the problem for which it was booked in for, still not repaired. I recently bought a brand new C180 Coupe from Union Motors, and sent it back for a disturbing noise on the carburetor. After 2 attempts from Union motors Nelspruit, they assured me that their is nothing wrong with my car. but disappointed the noise is unchanged. I informed them about this issue, as they were happy to book it in for a 3rd time. I then drove all the way to Mercedes Benz Menlyn in Pretoria. As soon as I entered the service centre and explained the exact same problem, the agent assured me that he will have the issue resolved and thoroughly investigated. Within 4 hours my car was fixed, a professional and experienced explanation provided and my car was indeed fixed. From past and recent experiences, Union motors service department is playing the guessing game, and rely on a computer to determine the fault rather than listening to the problem, as experienced by the customer, and finding the appropriate resolution.
