Terrible service and absolute rip off

Took our Mercedes in for a service yesterday to Union Motors in Nelspruit. Usually use De Wits in Ermelo but thought shopping would be better - so give Nelspruit a shot.
Also worked with one of the shareholders and service manager before so assumed all would be smooth sailing.

1. Car was not booked in when I had spent 10 minutes on the phone the day before booking it in
2. Took an hour for them to book the car in for the service
3. Waited ages for shuttle (eventually got a friend to pick us up), had to pay for extra cup of tea as well as service behind the refreshment counter had bad attitude.
4. Phoned at 11:30 to say the service (basic B service ie oil change etc) would be R6, 905!!!

Being an older car and out of service plan I highly objected to this. The labour alone - for a service that would take them an hour and 20 minutes (I did enquire) was R4, 500, the balance was for spares which is expected.

This is just unacceptable and unjustified.

Took the car to another authorised Mercedes dealer in the same area - for the same service as well as replacing the plugs was R2, 905.

We shall not be returning to Union Motors in the future.
