DODGEY SECOND HAND CAR SALES

I enquired about a Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG in response to their ad on Autotrader. The ad clearly stated that the car was in 'excellent overall condition' and further claimed that the exterior body work, mechanical and interior were in an 'excellent condition'. I contacted the sales person and pointed out that I am a fussy customer and that I would only submit a finance application on the basis that the car is in an excellent condition. The sales person confirmed this and submitted my app which was approved. On visiting the dealership to view the car I was furious to find that the car was in a shocking condition with several dents, mismatched paintwork, clumps of polish in the joints, badly worn leather seats and so forth. This is FALSE ADVERTISING and they wasted my time! This is the second time that I have experienced this at Investment Cars and it is clear that they are purchasing cars in bad/damaged condition, quickly polishing/repairing them (in a half- manner) and then trying to sell at market related prices. STAY AWAY! These guys are fakers and reinforce the stereotypical profile of the 'dodgey second-hand car salesmen'. Sad as they USED to be one of the best...
