Shocking after service care

Cars & Transport

I bought a Jeep Patriot at Jeep Umhlanga at the end of December 2012 from a sales man Charles Shozi. When I purchased the vehicle I was told that before I get my vehicle I would have gone for a service, valet, the missing bumbler cover will be replaced and that I will receive my service book. On collection of the vehicle I was told that the service has been done but that he could not do a valet for me at that time. I noticed that the engine oil warning light came on to which he replied that they have probably forgot to reset it. I left it at that and left with the vehicle. I then phoned him in the first week of January to remind him about my service book, valet and cover for the bumper as well as to get the warning light reset. He said to me that the first week of January is normally very busy but that he will phone the service department to get it resolved. To date he has not phone me back and I also discovered that the vehicle was not serviced. My mileage is 20000km and the service is way over due. Will I lose my warranty on the vehicle because of his negligence? Had I known I would have taken it for a service as it cost me nothing. This is crazy!
