Despite the fact that Berco delivered the previous package I ordered from Kalahari a day late, I ordered another package. This time Berco has exceeded even my wildest expectations of under-performance.
I placed my order on Tuesday, 12 Mar. According to Berco's website it was dispatched from CT at 14:12, and scanned out for delivery in Joburg at 07:37 on 13 Mar. As we were told that the delivery would take place yesterday my boyfriend organised to work from home. The package wasn't delivered, he waited around until 5pm. I phoned Kalahari 3 times, who said that they couldn't get a response from Berco.
Today their website says that the package was marked for "redelivery" at 13:47 yesterday, but nobody contacted me to say that there was a problem! This morning at 08:47 I received a call to say that the courier couldn't get into our complex. Why didn't I get a call to open the gate?! When I told the lady at the call centre that our domestic helper is at home until 1pm to receive the package today, she said that they don't have a courier available, and will deliver tomorrow. UNACCEPTABLE!! She also promised to phone me back, which still hasn't happened.
What a rubbish company.
