Dodge Nitro Breakdown

On 15th of December 2012, after a service at Fourways, the belt in the engine snapped with no warning lights coming on. 3 Months later and Chrysler SA came back to say no to any assistance. It is a 2007 model, out of warranty, but with only 37 000 km's on the clock. These were one of the items which should have been checked during the service. Due to fact that it is out of warranty, no assistance.

I come out of the motor industry, so please be aware if anyone out there is driving the same model - it will cost R90, 000.00 for a new engine!
