On Friday 14th December 2012, I bought from your Soweto Branch a comfort line POLO 1.4 2011 model. on the 24th of January 2013 I took it in for adjustments at the same branch. on Sunday 10th of Feb 2013 while driving, the car was on fire from inside the bonnet. I reported this, the insurance company towed it to their place of safety in Rand burg (Renew it). On Monday 11 Feb 2013 the insurance told me that as this is still under warranty, I must notify VW, I then phoned the branch and was advised that this matter was not in their hands and the warranty does not cover it. It has been considered as an accident. now my argument is, there was no impact, how can it be an accident? my insurance agreed to fix the vehicle but I have to pay excess fee. which I find it unfair. according to the insurance's findings the course of the incident was wiring. Question is why should I get penalise for something I did not create?

please bear in mind that this is my first vehicle and I never thought i would experience such as I trust VW hence i went for it.

hope to hear from you soon regarding this
