Land Rover South Africa
LandRover Defender (CRM8000000516)

Cars & Transport

I purchased my LandRover Defender in November 2010, in February of
this year it was 26 months old and to my utter dismay the clutch went.
I have now been advised by Mario from McCarthy Motors in Midrand, who
are repairing my vehicle that the Clutch and the Flywheel need
replacing and that LandRover South Africa are refusing to replace the
flywheel claiming that I have been riding my clutch. I have been
driving for 42 years and have been driving LandRovers for 8 years, my
previous vehicle was a LandRover Discovery, I do not now, nor have I
ever ridden my clutch, I am very angry that I am being accused in this
fashion. My vehicle has now been off the road for over a week, it is highly
unreasonable of LandRover to handle this situation in this fashion and
my vehicle is still under warranty. I am hugely disappointed, very
angry and offended at the manner in which I am being treated, in what
I believe is an attempt by LandRover to abdicate their, I am an honest, upstanding individual, who does not
drive like a cowboy, I attend an advanced driving course on an annual
basis and last year earned a Silver award, the previous year was Gold,
