AUTO QUIP FOURWAYS - DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING

Cars & Transport

In December 2012, I took my Mazda 5 to Auto quip as they are supposed to be a suspension place to have my car checked as it was making a knocking sound. I was informed that the shock rubber had given in and that I needed to have it replaced. We did that. Paid out almost R2000 for that. Took the car home, still making the same sound, took car back. We are then told it is the shock itself has gone. This is now a few days before Christmas and we needed the car as we were going to the coast. We had to call around everywhere ourselves to find a shock for the car. I drove all the way to the other side of Roodeport/Krugersdorp to purchase the shock myself - take it to them so that they could install it for me at no extra fee. But I had to pay for the shock myself - R1000.00 later for that. They would cover the cost of the labour. Get the car home and guess what??? Noise still there. I have now just been called by Mazda as the car is in for its service and guess what. It is the engine mounting that has gone. Now originally we told Auto Quip that we thought it was the engine mounting as the man down the road from us is a mechanic. I have just paid out R2100.00 for NOTHING. DISGUSTED.
