Picked up a car from OR Tambo at about 11:30 on 2 Feb 2013, and returned it to same branch at about 18:30 on 5 Feb 2013.
The same attendant was on duty in the car park upon pick up and drop off. We briefly inspected the car on pick-up, but when I dropped it off, the attendant showed me a small dent vey low on the wheel guard that had not been marked on pick-up, and told me he would have to report it as damage 'unless I left him something in the car'.
I am pretty sure the damage was not sustained while I had the car - it is very easily missed. However, i had no confidence in arguing this case with management, and therefore took the easy way out and 'left something in the car'.
However, I did have the impression that this may be a regular, and am deeply disappointed to have been trapped in it - and even more so to have given in to the temptation. I rent cars frequently all over the world, and this is the first time something like this has happened, and I'll think twice before renting a car from this agency again.
