Cheaper Car Hire - Liars with Unroadworthy Cars!!!

Cheaper Car Hire take advantage of the fact that their cars are "cheap."

My finance and I rented a car from them on 22 January 2013, the cheapest deal was R2950 per month for a Tazz or something similar.

They delivered an old City Golf with no left side mirror and o lights! That car broke down on our way to work and we had to be towed, making us late for work!

Since then, they have replaced the Golf with 4 other Golfs all with serious mechanical issues that make them non road-worthy! They then sent a VW Jetta to us on Wednesday 6 February 2013 (after leaving us with no car for 2 full days) and told us this was a new car! It has more than 330 000KM on the meter, no ABS, no airbags and no power steering! This car has clearly been in at least one accident!

My finance went in to cancel the contract and get his money back, but he was then charged a different price for the pro rata rental of the "vehicle" to date and they are now refusing to return his R5000 deposit although there is nothing wrong with the vehicle!

Cheaper Car Hire are a business that takes advantage of people and puts their lives at risk by making them drive unroadworthy vehicles!
