I rented and pre-paid for a car from First Car Rental Cape Town through Cartrawler over the period of 7 December 2013 to 10 December 2013.
o R3000 was actually taken off my card on 9 December 2013 instead of being reserved.
o The amount should not have been charged and still has not been returned.
o I phoned their customer care line 1st week January and logged my concern. The lady who assisted me indicated that there were damages to the car and that was why the amount had not been returned. I indicated that the vehicle had no more damage to it than when I had taken it and that this had been noted and signed off on receipt of the car after the rental period. She took my email address and other details and promised to get back to me. Two weeks later on the 13th still no response so I called again. This time a query was opened on their system. 20th and still no further action.

There seems to be a pattern of deliberate by First Car Rental from customers accounts looking at the other complaints logged here and elsewhere? I cannot accept that so many similar incidents logged are a result of coincidence.
