DEFECTIVE WORKMANSHIP ON LAND ROVER

REM Land Rover Repairs [REM] advertise themselves as
"REM Land Rover Repairs is one of the most experienced aftermarket
repairers of Land Rover vehicles in the Johannesburg area."
I have had to endure 12 months of '' and 'high costs' to get the work redone by third parties because of REM's negligence, inexperience and deliberate intention to skimp on the quoted work:-

1) REM started and drove my rolled Land Rover Defender at 80km/hr without cleaning out the valve and engine chambers - this resulted in damage to the engine causing 'white smoke' emission.
2) REM did no subsequent engineering on the engine overhaul and refitted the engine with
inferior quality parts resulting in 4, 500km of abortive trial running to try to resolve 'white smoke' emission from the exhaust. The engine overhaul had to be redone by a third party to replace and realign bent parts; resleeve piston chambers; refit pistons measured to suit rebored piston chambers, etc.
3) REM did not attempt to correct MISALIGNED BULKHEAD & ILL-FITTING DOORS - only when he was challenged with photographic evidence did he confess that he had not replaced the damaged firewall- roof rests directly ontop of RHS door.
