Refuse to exchange faulty parts - this is illegal!

I bought a new gearbox kit for my Peugeot worth R 4500. When my mechanic told me one the bearings was cracked, I went to Peugeot East Rand Mall.
They told me I have to buy another kit for R 4500, and they will send the faulty one back to France to determine if the bearing is indeed faulty.
One can physically see there is a fault.
I spoke to a Nathan, and he admits this is wrong and he keeps making empty promises and that he will get back to me? But he never does!
You sold me faulty parts now you expect me to pay for another kit.!
This is illegal and will be taking this further!!!
