Renew-it Randburg
Dishonesty

Cars & Transport

I took my car back to Renew-it because my alarm indicator was not working after the car was repaired for accident damage. Upon inspection of my car, when showing them that the hazards don't flash upon locking the car, I noticed that the paint on my back bumper was scraped off in a few places. Since all of the accident damage was on the front of the car, I asked to see the damage checklist form which Renew-it completes when they receive a car for repairs just to make sure if the scratches were there before my car was brought to Renew-it. After waiting for 20 minutes in the sun, Eddie returns with a photocopy of the form which indicates that there were scratches at the back of the car. I thanked him for taking the time to get the form, took the form and left.

Later that day, I checked the form again, and to my suprise (or lack thereof) noticed that the S's indicating where the scratches were, were added to the form in pencil. i.e. there were no scratches indicated at the time my car was received and Eddie added it to that form on that very day. So Renew-it, you can expect another visit from me to your branch manager & a call to your Head Office for your dishonesty.
