Can not find fault

My Ford Focus Is in Daly Auto Workshop for more than two weeks and still they can not find out what is wrong with my car. Although the control panel shows"Water in fuel". They fist asked me if I did not put petrol in my diesel car. Then they asked if I did not drive through water. Hello it rained. If they looked at the panel, did they not check the fuel?
