We own and operate a 5* Resort in southern Mozambique that host guests from around the world. In early December 2 of our guests on honeymoon were travelling from the resort to Maputo Airport- ORT - Onwards to London. Unfortunately the guest suitcase was to big to fit on the fixed wing charter taking of from the resort. The bag was left at the resort and we committed to sending to the guests in London ASAP. As such we drove the bag to Maputo and asked FEDEX for a quote to Deliver to London. The quote was received and accepted and payment made. The following day we were contacted by FEDEX asking for more money as the quote was incorrect ($800). We indicated the bags should already be en route and the quote was accepted and paid and hence could not now be amended. Once the bags arrived in London the guest contacted us to complain that the bags had been opened and their IPADS and other electronics. This was reported to FEDEX on the 11 December and to date we have chased numerous times with no "real" feedback. This shocking service leaves a lot to be desired from a global company who don't seem to take seriously.
