Fastway Couriers (south Africa)
Next day delivery... or not

I ordered a computer part from Wootware in Somerset West and chose overnight shipping with Fastway. This was on the 27th of November.

On the 28th, I waited all day for my package - when it didn't arrive, I phoned Fastway and was told that their drivers are independent contractors that set their own timetables. I tried phoning William (the courier) and got voicemail.

I contacted Yolandi Verster at Fastway's customer service department and was assured that my package would be delivered by 5pm on the 28th. When it didn't arrive, I tried phoning William again. He told me "you have to wait for tomorrow". No apologies, no excuses, nothing.

So, here i sit with a broken computer and no way of fixing it until that part arrives. Thanks for nothing, Fastway - not the service I was expecting from you. Not at all.
