Six months NOT to resolve gearbox fault

24-May-2013: Took car in re gearbox fault. They confirmed fault as reported. Told car must go to external gearbox place, for couple of weeks. Said they'd phone me to book car in with them when they next had courtesy car available.
30-Oct-2013: Car booked in for gearbox repair after FIVE MONTHS! They never contacted me as promised. Then when I chase, excuses given, ranging from "all our courtesy cars are out now, but will phone you when we have one" to "we're expecting a courtesy car back in the next day or two, and will phone you" and (despite other excuses indicating they DO often, with no formal obligation, make a plan) "we don't provide courtesy cars".
26-Nov-2013: Car taken to Mayfair for gearbox check/fix. FOUR WEEKS later, still not correctly identified cause of problem or submitted report to Bidvest for (extended) warranty authorisation. Julian (service manager, Woodmead) said should not be his problem, as Mayfair & Bidvest separate businesses and this is extended warranty... despite his choice to outsource this work, this being a Citroen that I bought from them and WITH an extended warranty that I paid them for! Said he'd resolve regardless - let's see!
