Auto Alpina Springs
GPS from my car and Manager saying it wasnt

I took my BMW to Auto Alpina Springs to replace the Bumper on request from my incurance. I took the car there from Witbank. I dropped the car the morning and got it back the afternoon. I asked them to drop us off and they did at the mall so we could spend the day there while they were busy with my car. When i got back to fetch my car i saw that my GPS unit was missing from the car. I am well aware that it is my responsibility to ensure all valuables are removed from the car but it was not as if I could have walked around in the mall the whole day with GPS in hand. I approached management and they said that they will look at cameras and let me know if they find anything. I said that I cannot come back if they don't find it to make a case and the manager told me that I have no proof that the GPS was in the car and it was my word against his. I am not proud of my behavior there after but one would expect more professional attitudes in regards to such cases. According to one of the employees there it was the second time in 6 months that something was taken from Customers cars. Although the service was not bad, I will never take my car there again.
