I have a shipment of clothing arriving from China. My supplier made a mistake on the invoice which would mean I'd pay unnecessary duties on the shipment. So i contacted DHL 2 Days before the shipment was due to arrive and spoke to Ntsako Baloyi. Who said i should send through the correct invoice. Which I did and he confirmed he had received it.

I did this to avoid necessary delays.

Surprise surprise the shipment arrives in Cape Town and the duties are calculated on the incorrect invoice. I called and spoke Charles Mbamba who informs me that the imports deportment never received my new invoice. Says I must sent it to him.

I do so and then follow up with a call to check the supplier invoice has been received. It has. So I ask charles please get your department to look at it urgently and forward me the new DHL invoice so I can pay and have the shipment released... He then says to me the guys wont do it because it is nearly 5 o'clock and they going home. This was at 16h05! nowhere near 5pm? So now my shipment is still stuck at customs and i still do not have an invoice from DHL to pay.

Please sort it out asap
