Car Reg on old Car still

Hi,

I recently received a R800 fine in Bellville in early hours of the morning, I went to the traffic department to check the photo only to discover my old car still with my number plates. I had bought a new car from Claremont VW and transferred my Reg over.

I asked the lady to check for anymore fines, only to discover /- R2, 500 worth of fines. I have had my new car for nearly 2 years now "how many fines have I been paying that wasn't mine? ' why was my old plates not removed? The funny thing about it is that one fine R500 for not displaying a licence disc, this guy was pulled over!

I called VW Claremont, spoke to a Ryan Stokes who then asked me to email him the fines which I did. its been nearly 2 weeks now and still im chasing for updates. I understand there is a process but clearly the processes isn't working its nearly end of the year Traffic cops and road blocks.

I'll have to recheck all my fines for the past 2 years.id like someone to explain why my car REG is still on my old car, to me that is " driving with someone else number plates? 'very disappointed in the service and the lack of response received here!
