GETTING ARRESTED BECAUSE OF AUDI!!!

I purchased my Audi in January & paid R3500 to have the dealership register the car for me. I collected the plates & documents from the dealership & had it fitted there & then. Needless to say I did not think further of it, until July when I was traveling to Johannesburg for work & got pulled over by the traffic police near Escort. They accused me of driving a vehicle because the car was not registered on their system! I told them that was impossible & phoned the dealership. They phoned me back shortly to inform me that my plates don't match with the license disc. The 1st 2 digits had been switched around. The officer then arrested me & charged me for! I had to spend a Friday in jail, get a lawyer & miss all my meetings. I had to spend the next 2 months driving to Escort to appear in court 5 times. I missed work, spent money on fuel, & was under a huge amount of stress. Audi took no responsibility & tried to say it was my fault. In the end the court found me not guilty. No one at Audi wants to get back to me or are prepared to pay my expenses for this ordeal. They are simply sweeping it under the rug & ignoring me. I expected more from such a reputable brand!
