Incorrect billing and shocking customer service

I hired a car from Avis Lanseria from 19/10/13 until 30/10/13.

When I returned the car I was greeted by an employee who looked around and inside the car said everything was fine. I asked if there were any forms for me to fill out or I needed to check in at the reception. No I could go he said.

After I arrived home, at approximately 5:30pm I received a text message from my bank saying that R4367.77 had been deducted from my credit card by Avis.

I immediatly phoned Avis Lanseria to ask why. A trainee (Nicolette) explained she was new and wasn't sure I should speak to her supervisor-Claudia- who said I was 2200km over my mileage plan. We disputed this. She said she would check and call back. After an hour we called back and Nicolette said Claudia was on a personal call and we needed to wait. Still nothing.By 8pm I told Nicolette I was driving back to check myself. on my way there I got a phone call saying we were 404km over it was their mistake and we would be billed accordingly. No apology at all.

We arrived at reception and saw Claudia. She was unpleasant, rude and still offered no apology.

I am disgusted with the lack of customer service and interest from Avis
