Volvo's land of broken promises!

Cars & Transport

After recovering from the broken promises about features on the car that don't exist like Traffic Information on the R20, 000 Navigation system, Daytime Running Lights that don't work as DRL but only when the headlights are switched on permanently, Navigation map updates that are provided once a year only (if you're lucky!), transport spacers left in the suspension after the dealer completed the Pre-Delivery Inspection (that you're actually charged for!), and a host of other frustrations, I booked in my service for 20, 000km on my Volvo S60 D5 R-Design Premium MY2013 that I spent almost half a million rand in purchase costs with extras. Despite Volvo's promises in their Service 2.0 campaign where a courtesy car would be supplied when the car is being serviced, the service advisor at Tom Campher Motors seemed to think it was optional for the dealers to comply with that promise. Despite promises to call me to confirm the courtesy car, I eventually had to call them this morning to confirm its availability only to be passed from pillar to post without feedback. So I didn't take my car in, and now I'm desperately looking around for another car brand that will help me get rid of my Volvo.
