I was asked to replace the clutch assembly on my clients vehicle as it was worn and so I ordered a clutch kit FEM.WV81 (R81MK) from the above mentioned supplier and on the 23/04/2013 Inv I0550490FQG and sent the flywheel in for skimming as it is a requirement when fitting a new clutch kit on any vehicle. I also change the Thrust Pin and Bush in the spigot shaft as the Thrust Pin pushes through it and of coarse the seal. After the assembly of the clutch kit and gearbox I tested the vehicle as I always do and found the clutch a bit stiff. I asked the client when he fetched the vehicle if he felt anything out of the ordinary and he replied a bit stiff but will test his car and get back to me. After a few day's he said it was still stiff but maybe it would get better. On the 28th of Sept 2013 the client phoned me complaining he could not select gears.
I went and inspected the car and found the client was right. The clutch was hard and not disengaging to be able to select gears. I removed the clutch kit and sent it to the supplier and after a few days they sent me a report to say it is not covered and found plenty excuses. They dont want to replace or refund me. Pathetic service from them.
