My vehicle went in to Strijdom Park for a service. Three weeks later, it began over-heating. Upon sending it back to the service center, i was told that the water pump and thermostat were to be replaced and that was all. I specifically asked about the head and the head gasket and was told that all was fine. 20 minutes later, i get a call telling me that the head gasket was blown in the workshop and that "my car is smoking up the whole workshop". Based on the bad advice I've been receiving, i requested that the head be removed and inspected. Had i not requested this and had it not been inspected, they would have never came to realise that other parts needed to be replaced as well (which was exactly the case!). They also skimmed the head (should be replaced as i did not blow it!), which i specifically asked the service advisor about and she by telling me that no sort of machining was done to the head. When i pick up my vehicle, it is the first line item on the invoice, which she refused to send me by email before i had picked up my car.
I contacted VW customer interaction regarding this whole ordeal and got no sort of help out of that too.
