Cars & Transport

I have purchased my 2nd hand i20 from the Hatfield dealership end of July 2012. The sales person assured me, after the car was sent for all the tests, that the current tyres were still going to be ok for 30 000km.
However, in December 2012, the car started to veer to the left and I took it in so the alignment, balance can be checked as well as the tyres to be rotated. I was then informed that two of the tyres were buggered and a danger to drive with so I had to replace them. My problem is that I have driven only 3000km with these tyres, a mere 10% of the promised kilometers. I have contacted Hatfield to inform them, especially since I do not even drive 20km a day and the road I drive is not hazardous such as potholes. It took one of the managers 6 days, then 9 days to get back to me, as the original sales person left. Not once have the manager even sympathised or apologised and said that seeing that a third party tested the car and gave it the green light, he can't do anything about it. I am very unhappy about this, as a first time car buyer I find this appalling!! What is the guarantee then I have that the tyres this third party tested are in fact the ones I got on my car??
