3 weeks ago my friend went to the Car Wash in Meyerdal, close to VIrgin Active. After having his car washed he realised that a wallet which was in his car was missing.
The owners checked the cameras to see who was washing the car. They apologised and issued him with 5 vouchers for a free car wash. 1 of those he gave to me, I went to the car wash on the 24/09, removed everything valuable from my car except my make up bag which contained a MAC pressed powder worth R300. I didnt remove my make up bag, as I never thought for one moment someone would open it and take something out.
I realised on Wed 25th that my make up was missing, I called the car wash to report it, the lady informed me that the owner would check the cameras and get back to me. Today is the 27th and the owner has not had the decency to even call me back. I didnt want anything from them, most certainly not free vouchers to be robbed again. I want to raise the concern that is a BIG issue at that car wash, 1 of the managers told me that weekly thefts are reported & 3 guys have been fired already, but yet it is still an issue. So my warning to you all Becareful there is a series of thefts at Meyersdal carwash!
