Offer to purhase signed, now price is different

Cars & Transport

I signed an offer to purchase for the new Mercedes Benz A class on 2/7 2013. The price agreed upon and signed for on the offer to purchase was R349 000. 00. I was informed that the car is very popular and that there is a very long waiting list, so my car will only be delivered in May 2014. I also paid a holding deposit. I was happy with this. 10 days ago I received a "casual" email from the sales consultant saying " Good morning, the new price of your A class is R411 000.00. Please find attached the new offer to purchase form. If you don't want the car anymore, let me now and I will cancel the deal and refund your holding deposit"
First of all, both parties signed the offer to purchase at the agreed price, and date of delivery. If the service provider cannot deliver the car in a reasonable time, and the price of consumables increase, it is not my concern, we have agreed on a price already. Consumer Protection Act states that the provider shall deliver goods at the agreed price.
Mercedes Benz did not specify this verbally or in writing at the time of signing the offer to purchase.
I have emailed this concern to Mercedes Benz South Africa, with no luck at all, after promising 2.
