Hyundai Santa Fe Airbag "Clock Spring" Recall

Hi,

We are a group of dissatisfied Hyundai Santa Fe owners who have been trying to force a recall of its 2006-2008 Santa Fe vehicles fitted with a defective Airbag "Clock spring" in SA for some time now with no luck.

In a nutshell. Hyundai USA (in conjunction with the NHTSA) issued a recall on the defective part (NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 11V472000).

My vehicle and many other Santa Fe owners in SA have exactly the same problem but Hyundai SA insists the faulty parts went to the USA plants only therefore a South African recall is not necessary. We disagree.

We are looking for all Hyundai 2006 to 2008 Santa Fe owners who have had an issue with their airbags to make contact with us. The more owners that come forward the stronger our case becomes and the likelier it is that you will get your airbag fixed for free or your repair refunded.
