DISSAPOINTED

Cars & Transport

We purchased a FORD FIGO for my daughter in March 2011, it was a demo/slightly used Figo, we have had it serviced as per warranty specifications. About a month ago we noticed the FORD badge on my daughters boot had started to peel and off, when it went in for its last service last week, I asked them if this wasn't covered under the warranty as it isn't an old car and non of our vehicles we have had VW, MERC, TOYOTA, BMW have ever done this and we had those cars for many years before sold, traded in etc. I was told no it happens sometimes because of the chemicals used at the car washes??? my husband washes our cars at home. I was told with labour the badge and fitting would be R1000.00, I told them to leave it . we have been very happy with the car and service we g=have received, however this incident with the badge on a car that is not old doesn't make sense to me.
