Car Service City
ABS still damaged after routine service in MARCH

Cars & Transport

In March I took my car in for a routine service at Car Service City Edenvale and while it was in I was informed that the brakes (disks and pads) needed to be replaced, I agreed to have them replaced. It stayed there for a few days for the brakes to be ordered and once they had been fitted I could come collect. I said that I would do an EFT as it is the easiest way for me to pay (limit on my card), this was refused and after an argument w/ the manager I left WITHOUT my car. Next day I came w/ cash to collect and found my car on the floor again w/ the left rear wheel removed and bits and pieces lying on the ground; I was then informed that when they tried to remove the wheel the bearing seized and they had to use a blow torch to heat the metal up and it ended up breaking that as well as the ABS cable. I was told that the part would take abut a week and the car would be fine to drive. I had to contact them in July eventually because there was still no follow up, they agreed to repair it & THE DAY I collected it the ABS light came back on. I checked it myself and found that now there are other problems w/ the wheel too. I want to take it somewhere else but they won't pay if I do!
