Ford
Car radio issue... what a joke

Cars & Transport

I have an Ikon purchased in 2010 from Midland, .GP. The battery went flat and the radio requested a code however the radio book was not completed and the code was left blank. Ford Pinetown tells me this is not there issue and that I must take my Car from KZN back to. GP to get this sorted out, or I could leave the car them for a day and the charge would be around R300 to get the 4 digit code. I explained that this car was purchased new and me evening the only owner, i can bring in proof as well as the contacts and books etc. He was not interested and said that he was not midland and this must be dealt with them, further to this he said each place deals with there own issue. As this is the first time the battery went flat, there was no need for me to notice the incomplete book. I then phoned Umgeni who assisted me over the phone, with out any issues.

Such bad services from Ford just as I was thinking of upgrading my other car to the St range... not going to happen now, I will go to the place that gives me the service and after purchases service that gives can expect.

I won't even begin to start with the tone and attitude form Ford Pinetown...
