Used 3 vehicles for one trip and all were faulty

Cars & Transport

I hired a B CLASS vehicle from Thrifty and paid weeks in advance to secure the booking. On the day of collecting the vehicle I call the branch to ensure the vehicle is available and to confirm what time I should collect. I am told the car is available, and on collection I am given a different class vehicle and told it's the only car available.

On driving from CPT to EC that evening I discover that the permanent bright light is not working, and I had to hold the temporary bright light for most of the trip (1200km), one of the tyres had a slow puncture, and the brakes were worn.

On arrival in EC I report this and a vehicle is sent out (same type car and different to one confirmed telephonically), on return to CT I discover that the 2ND vehicle when driving at a speed of 120KM starts to wobble as if it has allignment issues, and when you break at those speeds the car rattles aggressively (really scary). Again I report this and I am told to drive the car to PE airport and collect another one (and again given same car even though I expressed I was not happy with this). The 3rd car had same problems as the 2nd one.

Then I get charged over R1000 to pay for R300 petrol.
