Proton
Service Plan

Cars & Transport

I bought a Foton Thund 2.2ci pick up from Proton Motors in March 2011.I also bought a motor service plan from mr. Jan and Mr. Albert. They delivered the bakkie to me at my farm in Nylstroom that time. We were sitting drinking a beer when they told me about the service plan. They said the vehicle needs to be serviced only every 15000 km. I took the bakkie in for a service at November 2012 with some faults, incl. the fuel gauge not working since I bought it. They couldn, t replace the gauge because they didn, t have stock.i drive the bakkie to 21000km and decided to book it in for a service the 15th of June 2013 after I make a appointment the 24th with a miss Lizanni. I also explain that there are numerous faults on the bakkie for example: 1) The fuel gauge 2) The radiator bottle pipe was broken 3) There was a noise in the steering wheel 4) The petrol was leaking out of the tank, etc.
When I took the bakkie there the Tuesday 25/06/2013 all the way from Thabazimbi (240km) from Pta, the lady (Lizanni) told me that the bakkie should be serviced during November 2012 a yearly interval or 15000 km. Nobody said that to me when I purchased the bakkie. Liqued capital, the underwriters will not pay.
