I rented a car from Europcar almost a year ago. Europcar was very helpful while I had the car but as soon as I returned the car my trouble started. They billed me incorrectly, I queried this over several emails but they didn't even replay to my last mail. I also had an accident and I had a limited liability of R18000. Europcar was very quick to send me letters of demand. However it took about 7 months and about 15 emails to get them to put in a claim against the 3rd party insurer. The 3rd party paid Europcar in quick order, however I am unable to recover this money from Europcar. I have send another 8 emails regarding this over the last 2 months. The most frustrating thing is that Europcar do not even bother to reply to my emails. I have send emails to every person that I have had communication with but get no response (6 individual people). Not being in South Africa at the moment makes it difficult to phone however the calls that I have attempted have also been unanswered. Europcar seems to have forgotten that I am the customer, and their service and attitude has been appalling.
