Wheel 'n Steel
BAD AND UNSAFE WORKMANSHIP

I took my car to Wheel n Steel for a new tyre. Although my vehicle is still under guarantee, tyres fall under wear and tear items. I was informed that I needed two new tyres, knuckle joints, cv joints and stabilising springs needed to be repaired as well as skimming of brakes etc. Total repairs: R9982.50. This car is almost 3 years old and still under warranty. Tata dealer om Pinetown confirmed that this is all wear and tear and not under warranty, and advised to have Wheel n Steel repair the items as I was there already and it was closer to home and I should not drive the car to Pinetown in that conditin. When I got the car back it was even worse than before. I took it back and was told that the engine mounting was faulty and needed replacing. R2850.00. The car was still making funny noises and did not run smoothly. I finally took it back to Tata and they now confirmed that this is not wear and tear and is still under warranty. Tata had to repairs and also replace shafts. This has been ongoing since 27 March 2013 and my car is still with the Dealer awaiting spares.
