Spares from sole supplier Foton South Africa

I purchased my Foton Bakkie in 2011 from McCarthy Motors VW in Parow. I have been extremely happy with my purchase which has now 20000km on the clock. I cannot understand why an established company like McCarthy must sour everything with such poor after sales service and responsiveness. I require a fuel pipe for my vehicle, which unfortunately has perished in two years. I have fuel leaking from the pipe, which is a dangerous situation in itself, and McCarthy has no in the country. I was told by Gino at spares, that it will take a month to arrive via China. He sent me to the service Manager to enquire if they could help me with an old pipe, or one from another vehicle. His reply was a simple No. I then went to see the General Manager Hans Sukel, who was extremely nice with me, and I left there fairly confident that he would make a plan for me. I t seems this unhelpful habits of McCarthy staff must sten from their Management down to the lower levels of staff. After a week I phoned Hans, as there was no response from him. On the phone he once again promised me he would scout the country for the spare, or alternately fast track the part from China. I am still waiting for him.
