Loan Application

My daughter applied for a personal loan via ABSA to purchase a vehicle. She was referred to Auto Investments Centurion to broker the private deal. On the day we arrived at Auto Investments, a consultant named Marita met with us for my daughter to sign the contract. On reading the contract, I noticed that the facilitation was calculated on R60 000 and not R40 000 as agreed with ABSA and Marita from Auto Investments, when I first spoke to her. Marita informed me that ABSA did not know what they were talking about and the 3% calculated on the R60 000 was correct. After a lengthy discussion, Marita agreed that the contract will be amended to 3% of R40 000.
The second issue was that added to the contract was life cover and vehicle warrantee that my daughter specifically did not agree to and here again Marita informed us that this was required for the loan. Again after a lengthy discussion, Marita agreed to amend this as well.
The third issue related to payment to the Seller. The seller signed the contract on the Thursday 30th May 2013 and it was promised to the seller that money will be paid as soon as ABSA had paid into Auto Investment account. ABSA confirmed that the money was paid
