The dishonesty and deceit of General motors SA

Cars & Transport

I would like to share the appalling experience I recently had at one of the Chev branches. My little Aveo had to go in for repairs again so upon collecting the car I asked my wife if she wouldn't mind having a look around at what was available during the red tag event, we recently had a child and needed something somewhat bigger.. One of the consultants showed my wife a Captiva and consequently printed a quote. Following some e-mail correspondence I was asked to come in and meet another salesmen. He was not available and I had to suffer another who knew nothing of the Captiva, somewhat embarrassing when one knows more of the car than the salesmen. The salesmen took the details of my Aveo for a trade in and we decided to start the arduous process of buying a car. My car was re-evaluated as it was done incorrectly the first time (I was offered less than half of what the vehicle is worth) and by now the family we were all quite excited about 'upgrading' to the Captiva. I then had a phone call to say there was terrific news, we could get a settlement on my Aveo but the quote we had been given was not valid because that car had extras and his sales manager had refused to honour it
