Cape Town Fish Market
From Bad to Worse

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

Well, where to start... It is Monday, the 1st of April around 12, the restaurant at Greenstone is quiet (maybe 8 - 10 tables) After being greeted and seated by the host, 2 of us waited around 10 minutes to get the attention of a waitress and another 5 or so get 1 Beer and 1 Cold-drink. Was quite glad she was wearing a name tag, because she never introduced herself as our waitress.

We ordered a Fishhoek platter for 1, and a Sole and Calamari combo. The food arrived after sometime, within a few bites we realised that our combo was cold (we sent this back to be reheated), and the sauce you use over your Robata squid is quite disgusting (and Certainly not worth an additional R10).
Onto the platter for 1, Overcooked leather strips posing as calamari strips, incredibly BLAND fishcakes (thank Goodness for Tobasco sauce), overcooked prawns which just fall apart when I tried to peel them, flavourless Muscles with a Very Watery sauce, The only thing decent on my plate were the chips.

After informing the host about the poor food, he said, "our Waitress will give us a Comments card" to leave any notes.
