Turning a bad situation into a pleasant experience

Me and my wife were out on a date on Friday March 1, when we stepped into the store we were ignored by several waiters and a manager included, after waiting for a few minutes Donovan came to help us, we wanted to sit in the smoking area but it was full so he sat us on a temporary table, the table next to us had a birthday and the waiters came to sing, no problem with that, the problem was that one of the waiters dumped empty soda cans on our table in haste to join the singing. No apologies or excuses or anything just dumped the cans, sang and collected it afterwards, luckily Donovan kept the vibe up and gave us excellent service, even though we did not get a soft seat table he managed to make us stay for desert. This store can use him as a standard of how service should be.
